The 4" x 6" format is the most widely used label size in shipping and logistics and is compatible with the majority of desktop and industrial thermal label printers including Zebra, Honeywell, TSC, and Godex. Orange (Pantone 021) direct thermal labels are available in the 100mm x 150mm format, offering a high-visibility alternative to yellow for environments that use multiple colour codes across different product lines, despatch routes, or priority levels. Label Adhesive and Material Types
All coloured direct thermal labels in this collection are supplied with permanent adhesive as standard. For applications requiring a different adhesive grade or a more durable label material, CDM Labels manufactures across a broader range of specifications:
- Permanent — the standard for this collection. Labels bond firmly to cardboard, plastic, and packaging surfaces and are not intended for removal after application. Suited to outer carton labelling, pallet identification, and despatch routing.
- Removable/Peelable — for applications where the label needs to come off cleanly without leaving residue. Not currently available in coloured direct thermal but available across our direct thermal labels range.
- Durable/Long-life — where labels need to remain legible over an extended period or in more demanding environments, our coloured thermal transfer labels offer greater resistance to heat, light, and abrasion than direct thermal.
- Waterproof — for environments exposed to moisture or chemicals, see our glossy polypropylene labels for a waterproof alternative.
